Eats and Treats Commissioning Opportunity

Bolsover District Council on behalf of Bolsover Partnership, wishes to commission an organisation that will co-ordinate, facilitate and manage 5 Eats and Treats Events over a 12 month period in Bolsover District. They are hoping to build community confidence and capacity to engage with service providers and address health and well-being needs and issues.

This contract is being offered over a 12 month period, with the option to extend by a further 12 months subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funding.

Eat me, Drink me - Container Course

Learn and grow your horticulture skills in this free and creative seven week course from the RHS, the course will be based around plants that can be used in food and drinks.

During the course you will design a themed containder filled with edible plants that will be entered into a community competition at the RHS Chatsworth Flower Show.

Volunteer Passport Training

FREE training for Volunteers
Do you volunteer or are you thinking of volunteering? Then 'Volunteer Passport Training' is for you! The course takes place over 5 sessions and will cover various topics that include:

  • Equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Keeping yourself and others safe
  • Health and Safety
  • Person Centred Approach
  • First Aid

When you have finished the training, you will be awarded a Level 1 Certificate and a Derbyshire County Council 'Volunteer Passport' photo ID badge.

All sessions (apart from First Aid) will take place at Rhubarb Farm (1pm-3pm)

News! Census 2021 Public Consultation

On 28 February 2018, the office for National Statistics (ONS) launched the public consultation 'Initial View on 2021 Census Output Content Design'. This consultation asks for feedback on our intital proposed desifn of 2021 Census outputs and the dissemination channels for England and Wales.

ONS want to gather views on our initial design of 2021 Census outputs to ensure the proposal will meet user needs. The responses to this consultation will help prioritise future research and development of 2021 Census outputs. They will also inform the order in which products are released.

Details of the consultation are published on the ONS Website.

The consltation closes on 23 May 2018.


Roadshows: 2021 Census outputs, migration and population statistics

ONS are also holding 5 regional roadshows to allow you to ask questions about the consultation and try out our current prototype of a flexible dissemination system.

The roadshows will also provide an update on changes to population and migration statistics.

News! BNED Leader Programme 2014-2020

Funding is available for businesses operating in the rural communities of Bolsover and North East Derbyshire who are seeking to grow and create jobs in the area.

Grants from £3500 and up to £200,000 are available for a maximum of 40% of the total project costs.

Expression of interest applications need to be submitted to the Bolsover North East Derbyshire LEADER aproach by 30th September 2018 to enable funding to be allocated prior to the UK leaving the European Union.

*Applicants requiring larger grants should submit their bids as soon as possible*
