Ways to Work
Year End UpdateThe majority of targets were exceeded for 2011/12. Working with 2 Shires Credit Union has helped beneficiaries to save and purchase their bikes at the end of the loan period, and a new arrangement with Groundwork has resulted in Ways to Work being able to purchase reconditioned bikes for a fraction of the cost. Rural Action Derbyshire has also been successful in securing funding from Derbyshire County Council, Coalfields Regeneration Trust and Bolsover District Council to enable Ways to Work to continue into 2012/13.

Raising Aspirations (Adults - Chesterfield College)

About the project...

The project will engage with hard to reach residents from across Bolsover aged 19+ in the delivery of a tailored and personalised employment/skills development programme lasting a maximum of 16 weeks. Individuals will be supported to identify and address perceived and actual barriers to work through the completion of the 5 Steps to Success self assessment tool and a Personal Progression Plan.  Participants will also take part in an accredited Employability and Personal Development course.

Completion of the programme will result in a minimum of 75% of participants achieving a recognised qualification and a minimum of 30% of participants making a positive progression
