About the project...

This programme aimed to provide employment for 40 Intermediate Labour Market (ILM) participants, for 25 hours per week over a 26 week period allied to a schedule of horticultural and environmental works within the district, supplied by Bolsover District Council.

The Shaw Trust planned for approximately six starts per month, enabling intensive support to be provided, with participants working three days per week and attending training for one day per week. It was anticipated that 26 weeks would be the average stay, with the option to extend the 26 week period, subject to the consent of all parties. All recruitment activity for ILM participants (including writing job descriptions, organising recruitment/open days, interviewing) was co-ordinated by the Shaw Trust and all vacancies advertised with Jobcentre Plus, Probation Service, Community Mental Health Teams and via local community groups/facilities.
