Disability Partnership

About the project...

Disability Dynamics developed a partnership of organisations delivering a wide range of support to help Bolsover district residents (including those with disabilities) to find jobs, become self-employed or undertake voluntary work and training.

A series of partner meetings and training sessions were delivered to improve organisations’ and local employers’ understanding and support of disabled residents.  An on-line directory of local support and progression routes for people wanting to move off benefits was also developed with partner input.

The Disability Partnership's bid for European Union Progress (PARES) funding was successful and the project will now be able to continue operating within Bolsover district for a further 18 months, extending into Chesterfield Borough with the continued aims of:

• Increasing positive outcomes
• Reducing client withdrawals through more cross-referrals
• Filling provision gaps
• Reducing cost-inefficient duplication
